1. University of Toronto - MSc in Cell & Systems Biology
   
   The course is offered by the University’s Department of Cell & Systems Biology.
   
   To apply, the candidates must first be accepted by a faculty member who can supervise and fund the student’s research. Other than that, candidates must have a Bacherlor’s degree from a recognized institution. They also need to submit a one-page statement, a copy of your resume of CV, three letters of reference, copies of academic transcripts, GRE scores from the General and Biology tests. International applicants must also submit an official English language test.
   
   All graduate students are provided a basic stipend which covers tuition fees, living costs, and incidental fees.
   
    
2. University of Montreal – MSc in Physics
   
   Students can choose to study the program with or without a minor. Those who choose to study without a minor have the following specialisations – astrophysics, condensed matter, plasma physics, mathematical or particle physics.
   
   To be eligible, students must have a relevant bachelor’s degree with a good grade. And they must also demonstrate a good knowledge of French and English. Required documents include: statement of purpose, application form, and two letters of recommendation.
   
   International students are exempted from tuition fees as a scholarship.
   
   The deadlines for application are as follows: for entry in Fall 2018, it is January 1, 2017 to February 1, 2018; and for entry in Summer 2018: the deadlines are between September 1, 2016 to February 1, 2018.
   
    
3. University of Montreal - MSc in Chemistry
   
   The course is offered full-time at the Montreal campus and guarantees funding for all students who are accepted. According to the university website, most international students who are admitted receive scholarships for exemption from tuition fees.
   
   Students have access to laboratories for nuclear magnetic resonance, X-ray diffraction, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis among others.
   
   The admissions are offered on a rolling basis for Fall, Winter and Summer.
   
   To qualify, students must have a B.Sc. or B.S. in Chemistry with a good grade. They must also demonstrate fluency in French and English, and submit a statement of purpose as well as a CV.
   
    
4. McMaster University - MSc in Global Health
   
   The program is offered jointly with Maastricht University (Netherlands). Its duration is 12 months.
   
   To apply, students need a Bachelors (Honours) degree with a B+ average, two academic references, a statement of interest, CV or resume, and a completed online application and fees. Students must also demonstrate an interest in one of the programs concentrations.
   
   The tuition fee is approximately 20,000 CAD per semester.
   
    
5. McMaster University - MSc in Chemical Biology
   
   The course is offered full-time. It also requires a B+ average in the final year of admission. Students must review research interests of faculty members before making an application. This is to ensure that students have a supervisor when they are admitted to the course.
   
   Required documents include two official transcripts sent directly from the issuing institution, two letters of recommendation, an official copy of the TOEFL score, statement of interest, and an online application submitted along with fees.
   
   Admissions are offered on a rolling basis throughout the year for January, May, and September intakes.
   
    
6. McGill University - M.Sc. Microbiology and Immunology
   
   Each M.Sc. student chooses their research area and supervisor before, or during, the application process.
   
   To be eligible, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area – Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry and related disciplines. International students must also have valid TOEFL and IELTS test scores.
   
   It is important to note that no applicants are accepted without a supervisor.
   
   The application dates are 21 April, for the Fall term, 3 September for the Winter term, and 5 January for the Summer term.
   
   The tuition fees for a Master’s program at the university is approximately 8000-10000 CDN a year.
