Packing for University

It’s quite possibly the hardest part of heading abroad for an extended period of time – what do you cram into that limited suitcase space?

First, it’s wise to check with your airline as to how much baggage allowance you have. Even if you have a huge baggage allowance, consider how small (or large) your living space will be in your new home as a student. You don’t want to have too many things, and nowhere to put them!

Do remember that you can buy things that you need when you arrive – simple toiletry products and stationary are things that aren’t always worth carrying in bulk.

Do check the climate for where you are going, and make sure you have packed appropriate clothing. You can get an idea of the weather at your destination through Accuweather. Europe, the U.S., Canada, and Australia/New Zealand do have variable climates – requiring both warm weather attire as well as cold weather clothes for the varying seasons.
