Improve your English for Free

Ready to practice before taking those standardized English tests?
BY Braingain Staff Writer |   24-07-2014
If you’re an international student from a country which utilizes English as a secondary or foreign language, then you are required to sit one of the various tests of English as a foreign language (TOEFL, IELTS).

The results of this testing must be submitted with your university applications and alongside any other requisite standardized tests (ie. SAT, GRE, GMAT).

So it’s important to brush up on your English skills, as fairly high score achievements are required on these tests for admission. Practicing with an English speaking native is always the best option, but in place of that, the U.K.’s BBC Language site offers a wonderful learning experience. The BBC Learning English section provides learners and practitioners of English as a second language, to get to grips with the basics. For anyone looking to simply brush up on  English skills, there’s an entire site dedicated to that too.

The BBC offers a wealth of information, and all for free. It is one of the best resources online for anyone looking to brush up a little before taking any admissions tests.
