New York’s St. John’s University has announced the commencement of its Global Innovators Academy (GIA) in partnership with Braingain Magazine. The Global Innovators Academy is a 10-day summer program for high school students from across the world. The university is accepting applications from students aged 15 years or older (at program start date) who are currently in high school. The Global Innovators Academy will kick-off from Saturday, June 16 and close on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, on the Queens campus of St. John’s University in New York City.

The summer program will present the students with an opportunity to participate in daily workshops on the nature and genesis of innovation, with a prime focus on New York City as an innovation incubator. The Global Innovators Academy is a carefully designed program that offers the best of in-class experiences, as well as in-depth analysis to allow students to relate their academic inquiry with the world around them. The participants will not only be coached in effective public speaking and presentation skills but will also get to attend lectures given by the faculty of St. John's University's College of Professional Studies on topics in Innovation.

Extracurricular activities such as excursions to some of NYC’s many cultural landmarks (Rockefeller Centre, American Museum of Natural History, Empire State Building and more) and community service will also be a part of the program. Upon the successful competition of the program, students will receive a certificate from the St. John’s Global Innovators Academy.
