Early or Regular Decision? Take a look at Ivy League stats and decide

US’s Ivy leagues are widely known for their selective acceptance. However, the overall acceptance rates for 2017 admissions cycle were one of the lowest in the history of every single Ivy League school, except for Yale which stayed at 6%. The difference between Early and Regular Decision acceptance rates, however, were staggering.

Harvard University

Ranked 3 in QS World Rankings 2018, Harvard University is a private Ivy League research university located in Massachusetts, United States. In the Early Decision round for the class of 2022, Harvard accepted 964 students out of 6,630 applicants, producing an acceptance rate of 14.54%. For the Regular Decision round, Harvard accepted 998 students out of 36,119 applicants, producing an acceptance rate of 2.76%. The university admitted a record-low of 4.59% of its overall applicants for its incoming class of 2022, 0.69% below its last year's acceptance rate.
