Apply now for a scholarship to study sustainable energy development

The Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership offers a generous scholarship for students who want to pursue a Masters degree in sustainable energy development. Read more below.

If you are interested in pursuing an international Master’s degree in clean energy development, you can apply for the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership’s Sustainable Energy Development Scholarships. The deadline is March 10, 2017.

The scholarships are worth 23,000 USD per year, and valid for up to 2 years at the postgraduate level. Each year up to 10 scholarships are awarded. You can apply for these scholarships to cover a recognized Master’s degree on the subject anywhere in the world. Of course, the degree must have 75% or more sustainable energy content.

To be eligible, you must be a citizen of a country in the DAC List of ODA Recipients. You must also have excellent grades & be in the top 20% of your graduating class. Additionally, you will be required to demonstrate community involvement, a passion for sustainable energy and a commitment to return & contribute to your home country.

The application form can be found online. The documents you need to submit include passport, CV, transcript copies, admission letter, program outline, an academic reference form, personal reference, as well as applicant’s statement. In case you are applying to more than one course, you must attach an outline of the program which has your first preference.

If you are successful, you will be notified within 6-8 weeks of the deadline. The award amount will be deposited directly in the accounts of the institution where you have gained admission.
